Blake, me, Brian and our dad
Jackson, Jacky, Rebecca and Lainey
Today we honor all of the fathers and Jackson finally got to be honored! He is a wonderful husband and a great dad. Jackson isn't the kind to soothe the crying baby or pick out a cute outfit for her to wear, but he does many other wonderful things. He works hard to provide for his family, takes care of pretty much anything around the house I ask him to do, he loves his little girl unconditionally and is so proud to be her daddy. I read an article one time about a lady who was a single parent and she would listen to all of her married friends gripe about what little (or what they thought was little) their husbands did and the whole time this lady is thinking.."if they only knew". Then she was thinking of all the things she wished she could tell her married friends about what life is really like with only one parent. She had to be the plumber, the educator, the disciplinarian, the cook, the soother, the yard guy (or girl), the electrician and the bread-winner. I try to remind myself of that article every now and then, because even though there are times that I feel like I do way more than my husband I have to remember that there are things he does that I have NEVER done around the house and for my family. The dedication and devotion to his family surpasses all of the moments that I feel like he could do more...I love you honey and you are an amazing father!
I want to give a shout-out to my dad and Jackson's dad too. If they were not in our lives, then we would not be the grounded hardworking people that we are. Jacky and dad..you both a amazing fathers as well!! We love you both!
