Reflux Ultrasound

This is her during the reflux test

Today Laine went in for her reflux ultrasound. The nurse told me that she couldn't eat 4 hours prior to the appointment, so when I woke up Laine at 8:00, she hadn't eaten since 4:00am and she was hungry. We got there and signed in and then waited for about 20 minutes. I thought she'd be hungrier, but she didn't really whine about it too much. We went back with the ultrasound technician and she had me take off the baby's clothes and lay her on the bed. She first took pictures of her little body to make sure there wasn't anything abnormal about her anatomy. She told me everything looked good, which was a relief. Then, she had to drink 4 ounces of glucose water, which she downed. The tech then took the ultrasound wand and held it on her digestive tract for 10 minutes. She told me she was looking for the water to go back into the esophagus, which did happen. She said there was one major reflux and two minor ones. She didn't tell me if those were of concern, or if the amount was normal for a baby. I should hear from the doctor after the radiologist sends her the results either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Hopefully she doesn't need to be treated, but if she does then at least we can try and get this under control!
