Today I took Laine for her 4 month check-up! Her stats are as follows:
12.2 lbs-30%
24 1/2 in.-60%
HC 16 in.-20%
Sidenote: Mind you, Laine is a preemie and her stats are compared to full term 4 month olds. This means she is a CHUNK! When adjusted for her prematurity she is even higher in the percentile!

The doctor said everything was going well with her check-up. She asked about some developmental milestones and some of them she has met and some of them she has not. She can put her hands around her bottle, but is not holding it yet. She can grasp her toys, but not hold on for very long. She's able to bat at something above her, but not very smoothly. She kicks her legs like she is trying to win the Tour De France and she can finally eat some RICE!

I introduced rice today and it was quite funny. At first she gagged and screamed, so I gave her some of her bottle so she wasn't so ravenous. After she got some food in her tummy, she enjoyed trying the rice more. She still spit most of it out, but I'm sure it's because it tasted like crap! I poured some out and mixed some juice in with it and she definitely enjoyed it more. I get to start introducing some stage 1 baby foods in about a week or so!
