I love her sweet little body!

Before the check-up
Waiting for Dr. Nash to check her out!
My mom and I took Laine to her 6 month check-up today. She is growing like a weed! Her weight is 15 lbs. 11 oz. 60%, height: 26 in. 60%! She is perfect in every way. The doctor said we could start giving her graduate foods and yogurt. I actually saw the Yo Baby yogurt the other day at the store and almost bought some, so I guess I'll be going back this weekend. She can also start eating stage 2 meats. Hopefully she will like that better than she has been liking vegetables lately! She said we could start moving away from the bottle and gradually introducing the sippie cup. Laine can't hold her own bottle yet, but I think the sippie cup with handles may be easier to hold, so we might try one soon.
Dr. Nash perscribed us some more ointment for her rash. She thinks maybe she had a strain of Strep now instead of a yeast infection. The medicine for the yeast infection did help on her bottom, but her chest and little face still have the rash. This ointment she prescribed seems to already be working, so hopefully she won't have it this weekend. I pretty much wrote all of the things she can do now in my last post, but she is learning everyday and we fall in love all over again each time we see her do something new.
She did get her vaccines for 6 months today and that is never pretty. She got 4 shots (including flu) and an oral vaccine. I hate it for her, but it's better to get the vaccines now than to risk getting one of those awful diseases down the road! We have to go back in a month for the 2nd dose of the flu shot and then she won't see us back until 9 months!
