Yesterday was Laine's 9 month check-up. Her appointment was at 11:10 and we didn't get into the doctor until 12:10, so that part was pretty frustrating. I knew though that with Dr. Nash it could be a bit of a wait, because she really listens and spends time with each family she sees. We LOVE our pediatrician, just not so much the office staff in the front. Anyway, Laine did great and she didn't have to have any shots. She did however, have to have her little finger pricked to test for anemia and she really didn't like being restrained that long to get enough blood.
She weighs 18lbs 9oz and is 28 inches long. That puts her in the 50% for weight and 75% for height. She's going to be tall, which is good I just hope she doesn't hit her growth spurt before everyone else in elementary school. I know that can be hard for a little girl to be taller than all the girls and most of the boys. The doctor said she was doing great and that we could start introducing more adult foods. I told her about her being clingy and she said of course that is was normal at this age to be concerned about where mom and dad were at all times. I told her how she was more interested in pulling up and walking then crawling and again she said it was fine for her not to be interested in crawling, all babies are different. Laine is so fun right now, because she is really developing her little personality. The best word I can use to describe our little girl is: sweet! She is just a sweet baby and we love her so much!
