NO more tube!!
Here she is in her carseat for the first time..
Today we heard that we may be able to go home on Monday. There are a couple of factors that determine whether or not we will though...First, she has to continue gaining weight. She gained 10 grams on Thursday, 10 grams last night and 5 grams tonight. They determine the weight gain over the week though, not by each night. She now weighs just under 5 lbs. She weighed a little more than that at birth, but the cyst weighed some too. It's just going to take this preemie longer than other babies to gain weight. Also, we have to make sure she is still going down on her biliruben (jaundice).
This morning they did the "carseat test", which tests her stats to make sure she is capable of riding in a carseat...she did great. She's nursing really well now and last about 20 minutes total. I hope that I am supplying enough for her and she continues to do well. She also does not have her feeding tube in anymore. Yesterday the day nurse took it out while I was pumping in the back. I came over to her and Jackson said, "look at her face.." and I sort of freaked out. I didn't notice at first and was like what's wrong with her face? He actually had to tell me that her tube was out...I guess I really am exhausted. Anyway, hopefully she gains again tomorrow and her bili is down and if those two things go well then we should be home around 2:00 on Monday!! Keep us in your prayers and think heavy thoughts!
