The 2 birthday people! Jackson and his grandma have birthdays 5 days apart, so we celebrate both each year!!
Friday was Jackson's birthday and he turned the big 2-7. We invited some friends and family over to our house for a celebration. It's a lot easier now to have people at our house so that Laine can go to bed when she's ready, instead of trying to find a place in someone else's house where she can sleep. I like having people over at our house, but that means a lot of cleaning on our part. I took a half day Friday so I could prepare for the party.
Jackson's parents, grandparents (both sides), sisters, cousins and aunt came over along with my mom and my mom's friend Donna. My dad was on a trip, so he couldn't make the party. Then we invited Chris and Lauren, Carlie, Josh and Avery, Jessica, Jason and Burns also. Jackson's parents brought brisket, chicken and sausage. My mom made some yummy potato salad and then we got a Black Forest cake from Swiss Pastry Shop. We had deviled eggs, queso, chips and dip...really too much food, but it was a great set-up. Laine of course was the most entertainment, along with Miss Avery Grace. They always make us laugh and we love to sit around and watch them interact. It was a great party and I hope Jackson enjoyed his b-day! Love you honey!!
