9 Months!

Favorite position to be in!

Crawling out of her chair..

I can't believe that in 3 short months, our baby girl Laine will be a year old!! ONE year!! She's such a joy and so fun to be around. I love her more and more everyday, that I don't think I can fit any more love in my hear without it bursting. There is something really special about a mother and a child's bond that until you are a mom it's unexplainable! Laine is my everything and I can't imagine my life without her! She is doing so many fun things, but her all time favorite thing to still do is STAND!! Seriously, this child stands from the time she gets up from the time she goes down. She is not really interested in crawling or being her tummy, but standing that's a different story. She now can pull-up on things that are at her level like me when I'm sitting, her Pottery Barn chair and the side of the couch. I brought her chair into the living room the other night and she LOVES climbing all over it. Mostly though, she likes to climb on either Jackson or myself. She's getting much stronger and can even stand for a short period of time by herself. I read on websites and in my books that it really doesn't matter how they choose to get around as long as by one they are showing interest in being mobile.

I sometimes think that she might not crawl before she walks because of the disinterest she shows in crawling. She can push herself up on all fours, but shortly falls back down to her tummy and cries to be stood up! Did anyone out there have a baby that didn't crawl first? She goes for her 9 month check-up on the 21st, so I'll ask the pediatrician about that issue. Also, she likes all baby foods and eats puffs like a champ. I've given her some small pieces of shredded cheese and she loves that. I've given her alittle taste of parmesean and spaghetti sauce and she loves that, but other than that she eats mainly baby food. I think in the next few weeks I'll introduce some new foods to her. I gave her yogurt one night and she didn't like that at all. Our little monkey is the cutest baby and we love her lots!

*Oh and it's never too early to start planning for her one year birthday party is it??
