2 Down, 1 To Go!

My little brother (not so little) graduated college on Saturday in Magnolia, Arkansas. He went to Lon Morris college on a baseball scholarship for 2 years and then transferred up to Magnolia his sophomore year. He pitched for their team and did a great job. I never made the trip up there before the graduation and was unpleasantly surprised when we got there. It's really small, actually it reminded me somewhat of Sierra Vista where Jackson and I lived for a year. The only difference is this place didn't look like a desert. During the baseball season, he traveled a lot so he didn't have much time to worry about how horrible the town was. I'm glad he got a chance to play ball and go to school for free, but I KNOW that he would not have chosen SAU (Southern Arkansas University) unless he got to go for free.

The graduation was in their gym. Yes, you read it correctly..a basketball gym. I think there were only about 50 graduates so that shows you how small the university is. He graduated 5th, so we had to listen to all the other graduates after him. His degree is finance so I hope he can find a job in the metroplex and not have to relocate. We are very proud of our Briany and love him lots! Our home computer is infected with a virus, so I can't post pics right now because my work laptop doesn't have the camera software to upload pictures!! I'll post when it's fixed.
