13 Months!

Even if I can post pictures right now it shouldn't stop me from blogging the memories of my sweet baby girl. Laine has really blossomed lately in the fact that she loves to "play" with her toys. It has taken forever for her to really take a liking to her toys, and Jackson and I thought we'd be entertaining her forever. I have to remember that even though age wise, Laine is 13 months but developmentally she's still just about one. It's hard to keep that in mind when I'm reading developmental milestones that she should be reaching at her age. Some things she's doing now are:
-almost running (she really just speed walks)
-giving her babies/stuffed animals kisses
-she really observes her toys and finds just the right one to entertain her at that time
-she loves her car and her alphabet train. She's figured out how to get in and close the door and wait for one of us to come over and push her around the house. With the train, she knows how to push the block into the hole and watch it pop out the bottom.
-she can say: baby, eyes, fish, duck (sometimes), hi, bye, up, cold, hot, uh-oh (her first word)
-she hasn't said mommy or daddy yet, so we are waiting for those two!
-she eats pretty much anything, but LOVES any fruit..tonight we gave her a clementine orange and she devoured it.
-as for her perosnality: Laine is standoffish until she gets to know you or feels comfortable with her surroundings. She isn't one of those kids who jumps into any situation full force. She isn't too comfortable going to people she doesn't know. She is a much more observant child (my mom said I was the same way).

We are in head over heels love with our little girl and I can't WAIT for summer to spend every waking second with her :)
