Lately I haven't been blogging as much because our camera cord thing doesn't work anymore. I can't upload pics right now, and I feel like with no pictures bloggins isn't half the fun. LOTS has been going on, I just haven't been documenting it because of my lack of camera equipment.
Anyway, Easter this year was sort of chill for us. We didn't do any major Easter egg hunt and we didn't take Laine's picture with the Easter bunny. I feel like it's more of a chore for me and and added stress, then it is enjoyment and fun for Laine this year. Laine isn't one of those go-getter babies, so I think she would have been more stand-offish at any egg hunt, so we just opted out of it. Saturday we got out her water table and watched her play in it and Jackson planted a new shrub in our garden and added new cedar mulch. Laine loved her table and also loved just being outside.
Sunday, the Easter bunny did come and brought Laine some Baby Einstein stuff and a couple of candy filled eggs. I guess he knew momma was craving some candy this year :). Then, we all got ready and headed over to Jackson's grandma and pops' house for homemade breakfast. We hung out there and watched Laine play and then headed over to my parents' house for lunch. Laine took a nap over there and we ate and then came home! It was very low-key and that's the way we like it!! I'm not one who really likes huge crowds and if I were stressed then it would make us all stressed...The saying goes "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy"..so we didn't go to any big hunt this year. Next year, that's a different story because I think Laine will be more independent and enjoy it more!
