Grandma just got back from Cancun and brought back some fun Mexico toys for Lainey..This one is a top that Laine wasn't too sure about. She would watch it spin on the floor and and look at it really concerned. We'll have to use it more for her to understand that it won't hurt her :)

Playing on the pink rabbit that stays at Grandma and Papa Jack's.

Birthday girl, Kristen!

Today we went out to Jackson's parents' house to celebrate his sister's 26th birthday. We planned on taking Laine down to the lake area and letting her swim in the beach section, but she took an extra long nap so we decided her sleep was more important than swimming...We'll go back. It was fun to just hang out and eat burgers and watch Laine put on her normal show for everyone. She LOVES sweets and Jackson's grandma makes wonderful homemade ice cream. This time, it was peach ice cream and Laine of course wanted to eat the whole thing. She'd go around to people and just stand there until they gave her a bite. She'd then crouch down and open and clinch her fists and close her eyes real tight while she ate the bite. She'd go to the next person and do it all over again..Very amusing.
Then, we went out to Barbara and Jacky's peach tree and picked some fresh peaches. Laine liked it for about a minute and then wanted to follow the dogs around the yard. The peaches look wonderful though and I found a recipe in the Paula Deen magazine for a peaches and cream popsicle! It calls for lemon-lime soda (sprite), vanilla yogurt and fresh peaches. You're supposed to mix that in a blender and then put the mixture in popsicl molds and let them freeze overnight. I'm going to make them for our mommy/baby playdate on Tuesday!
