Well for memories sake I'm going to detail this post to the "t". It all started on Monday night when the lead teacher on my team called and said school was cancelled for Tuesday!! It was about 10 pm and I did what some call a "happy dance" and went to sleep. When we woke up the next morning the outside conditions were not so great to say the least. Jackson didn't even have to go to work. The ice was coming down pretty thick and it was clear that school wouldn't be in session the next day. During that first day, Jackson, Laine and I went on an adventure to the mall. It was a ghost town because there were only about 5 stores open in the whole mall. I did however get Lainey some cute sale stuff at Baby GAP. Sure enough that night, Melinda called again and the "no school" phrase came out of her mouth. I was looking forward to staying home again the next day, but was for sure that we'd be back in class on Thursday. I got pretty bored, so I made some sugar cookies which I never do because I am such a stickler about counting calories, but these past few days I've kind of given up on that. When the call on Wed. night came and Melinda said we'd be out of school for a third day I got sort of panicked. I mean, don't get me wrong, I LOVE staying home with Laine but the teacher in me started to show and I was beginning to wonder how we'd make up all the missed work. Thursday, Laine begged for me to take her somewhere so we went to pick up my sister-in-law's baby shower invites and to Walmart. The streets really didn't seem all that bad and I was certain we'd be back in school the next day..Until I came back home and watched the weather forecast for Friday. The weather said that we'd be getting around another 2 inches of snow throughout the night but no more than that. Well, what a wrong statement that was! I woke up that next morning, looked out the window and automatically knew that we go more than 2 inches. The pics will show just how much we did get and at 7:30am it was still falling. The snow continued to fall throughout the day and Laine and I couldn't wait for Jackson to come home so we could go out and play in it! Snowstorm 2011 definitely followed in the same footsteps as Snowstorm 2010!
