Every year my mom's side of the family throws a HUGE Halloween party at their house in Weatherford. My cousin and her family share land with my aunt and uncle and they have such a great set-up. They have a creek that flows through their property and my cousin's husband, Darryl has built the boys a fabulous treehouse complete with electricity. I know my brothers would've died for a treehouse like that! For the party they had a pumpkin decorating contest in my aunt's art studio, a hayride around their property, a weenie roast in their front lawn and a bunch of yummy Halloween desserts. They also had the kids compete in a costume contest and Laine won second place!! She did look very cute in her Uniqua costume! She also won the honorable mention prize for the pumpkin she decorated. It's quite a masterpiece :)
We had a great time watching all of the fun through Laine's eyes and the majority of what we do during the holidays will be for her. I can't wait to see her trick-or-treat tomorrow night and hopefully she's not too shy when she goes up to peoples' doors to get her candy.
