Kids' Christmas Craft Party

Here are some of the kids making their reindeer food :)

Tree decorating!

I have found such fun things off Pinterest and some of them are crafty activities to do with young kids. I really wanted to have a few mommies/kids over before Christmas to make a few of the fun crafts I found, so I made a quick evite one day at school for this morning and invited some fun girls and their little ones over for a craft party! I wanted to do two things primarily. First, make reindeer food to leave out with the cookies and milk for Santa on Christmas Eve. Second, I wanted the kids to decorate sugar cones covered in icing with fun candies. I guess it's the alternative to a whole gingerbread house, which I do want to do but not for a couple more years.

Once all the little ones and their mommies got there we played for a little bit and then half the kids did the first craft while the others were doing the second one. I bought a cheap tablecloth so I could throw it away once they were finished decorating their tress and then the reindeer food I just had the kids do on a blanket and then shook it out after the party. After the first "station" we all ate and the kids played more and then we rotated. I think they had fun, but again some of them are still a little young for crafts. Mainly, it was an excuse to get together before Christmas to play and hangout! I'm so glad to have such fun friends and for all of our kids to be around the same age!!
