First Dr. Appointment

Yesterday, we went for Laine's first dr. appt. I love the dr. we chose and it's pretty close to my work and our house. We are going to the Hurst branch of the Cook's pediatricians. Our dr. is Dr. Nash and she is lovely. She was very informative and actually answered all of my questions before I had a chance to ask them. I feel like she is really going to be great for Lainey. She weighs 5lbs 2oz now, which means she is 8% below her birth weight. Although, she may have been born smaller if she did not have the cyst. She is still 18 1/2 inches, but I've got a feeling that is going to change soon.

The doctor told us that of course Laine would eventually catch up to the other babies her age, but for the first 2 years or so, she may have different goals and milestones to meet. We knew this, but it's going to be weird knowing she is going to be a bit behind other babies her age. She poked and proded and everything looks great. We just have to go back next Friday for another weight gain check-up!
