Rebecca and me being sung happy birthday!

Today was such a fun day because I celebrated my first Mother's Day and an early birthday (my birthday is the 15th). First, we started out at my in-laws and had a fun yummy lunch of lasagna and vanilla cake..I love seeing all of Jacksons' family..they are so fun. His grandparents, aunt and uncle, sisters, cousins and brother-in-law were all there. We celebrated his sister Rebecca's and my birthday as well as Mother's Day.

His aunt brought over some newborn pictures of Laine that she took that were framed. They turned out beautiful and I am so happy she took them for us. His mom bought us a new comforter for our guest room because I am in the process of redoing it. Our dogs have ruined the old comforter, plus we've had it forever and the new one is so cute. I'm doing the room in sage and seafoam green, so the comforter is perfect. His grandparents got us some cute frames and a framed saying: Remember to always kiss me goodnight. His mom also got me a decal to put in Laines room that says: Some people dream of angels, I hold one in my arms. It's precious.

Then, we made the trek to Arlington and had dinner with my family. My brother Brian came home from Magnolia, AK where he plays baseball to surprise my mom for Mother's Day, so it was great to have the whole family home. We had some great chicken-kabobs and rice followed by a delicious pound cake with fresh strawberries and whip cream. My mom is always complaining that we dont have enough light in our living room, so she bought us a new floor lamp and a new table lamp. We had a table lamp, but I'm going to put the old one in our guest room. It was a great day and a terrific way to spend my FIRST of many Mother's Day!

the first one is so special and it's kind of weird when people tell you happy mother's day. I agree with Al, you look so good!
