Mother's Day 2010

Mom, Laine and myself at Rosa's

Cousin Leah playing with Laine

This year for Mother's Day was a little bit different. Jackson has been out of town for a little over a week at a training, so it's been me and the babe by ourselves now for awhile. Mother's Day was no different. Saturday, Laine and I went out to Weatherford to spend some time with Jackson's family and then we went and ate at Red Lobster for Rebecca's birthday. Laine did really well at the restaurant until the end which is completely expected. It was nice to hang out with his family and I know they all loved seeing Laine, but missed their boy!

Sunday, Laine and I went over to my mom and dad's house and then we all went to Rosa's in Fort Worth to meet my aunt, cousins and their families for lunch. We ended up getting the back room so it was nice. Laine did well again and ate a whole cup full of rice and beans. She did however get grease from the rice all over her white Gymboree pants. I washed them after I soaked them in Dreft but you can still see a couple of spots. They're 6-12 months, so she'll probably grow out of them soon anyway. After we ate, we went over to the Old Navy across the street and shopped a little.

It was hard not having Jackson here and not that I didn't appreciate him before, but now I REALLY do! I never really realized how much he DOES do until he's not here. He's a good guy and he really cares about his family, which is one of the reasons I married him! Before he left, we bought the jogging stroller I've wanted forever because I knew I wouldn't be able to go to the gym as much with him not here. Laine and I have taken advantage of the nice days we've had (until the passed few) and taken the stroller out for long jogs. It was a nice Mother's Day, but I can't wait for life to get back to normal when J gets back home!

I'm the same way! I forget how helpful Seth really is until he's out of town. We're lucky gals. Glad you still had a good Mother's Day!!
